Seen enough Indiana Jones films or episodes of Time Team and want to know what an actual project is like? Here we’ll describe the project and what we do – our goals, hopes, experiences and setbacks. You’ve caught us during a hiatus in the middle of of a major campaign (hense the delay getting this blog going), so we’ll bring you up to date and then you can follow along.

We’ll mostly talk about archaeology, but also see if we can’t introduce you to the culture of Bulgaria, someplace you’ve probably never even thought about in relation to archaeology (or perhaps anything else for that matter). Since we are both also students of ancient history and current events, we probably won’t be able to restrain ourselves from occasional discussing what light the former might shed on the latter.
